I can't begin to say enough of how much we appreciate everyone at Veterinary Associates. We always took our Akitas there, our Rescues, and, now the new baby.. They came to our house when it was time for our 14 yr Akita to leave us. He was comfortable, and in his own home with his family around him. He left us peacefully. Then when our 15yr female recently fell in from cancer, the Dr's and staff were nothing less than amazing, and compassionate. Shedding tears along with us. We've always had the best care, the fact that we can take our dogs there after hours for an emergency instead of the emergency clinic is comforting. I will never take our four legged family members anywhere else.
TIP to protect your pet when coming here! Check before vaccines and medications are administered, to make sure they gave your pet the right medication. My CAT was given a DOG vaccine tonight, by Veterinary Associates, Xenia. We waited over an hour to be seen, there was an emergency in another room, and I understood that. When it was our turn, we were rushed through. Our cat was not examined, only given a wrong vaccine, and then a dose of the correct vaccine. Mistakes happen, but the more I thought about it, this should NOT happen. They said my cat will be ok, I hope so! Our visit, maybe 4 minutes tops, $95 bill, after the mistake, with a office fee removed. Will I come back? Yes, but I will be on guard next time!
Dr Sharp is an absolutely amazing person, inside and out!! Thru almost 10 years with my lab, Isabella, she was there thru all the troubles, and there were many unfortunately......but whether it was regular business hours or 3am in the morning, she always greeted us with a smile and a hug!! Unfortunately i had to put my baby girl down a few weeks ago, and of course asked for Dr Sharp, no questions asked she was there and supported me and even held me as I cried, I honestly can't say enough good things about her. Everyone at Veterinary Associates are so nice and will help you and your pets in any way possible!!!
Love Dr. Brett Ellis, he takes great care of the animals that come see him, they also take care of farm animals too, and offer services like acupuncture and laser therapy too.
We had the best experience here. Our cat had a terrible UTI and was very close to dying and they were able to save him. Their prices were so reasonable, compared to any emergency vet we were considering to take him to. They took the time to explain everything in detail and call us everyday to tell us how he was doing. It is about 30 minutes from our home, but I am 100% willing to make the trip to take my animals back there. They were so kind to us and so caring and wanted the best for us and were not looking to rip us off. I am so thankful for all of the staff for everything they did because I don't know what I would without him. I have recommended this vet to everyone I know and they are now the only people I trust with my babies. Thank you again for everything. And thank you for saving his life.
